The Bentley development team is pleased to announce the availability of AutoPIPE CONNECT Edition V12 Update 7 (12.07.00.346) is design and analysis application for calculating piping code stresses, loads, and defl ections under static and dynamic load conditions to meet the highest nuclear standards.

The following outline identifies new features and enhancements in the AutoPIPE CONNECT Edition version 12.07.00.346.
Piping Codes
– Added ASME B31.1 2020 – Power Piping. Improvements include the use of ASME B31J for component stress intensification factors (SIFs) and flexibility calculations by default, inclusion of axial force due to weight and resultant moment broken into in/out/torsional components with new SIFs for sustained and occasional stress calculations, axial force added with SIF set to 1.0 for bends/elbows/miters and resultant moment broken into in/out/torsional components with new SIFs for displacement stress range calculation, and report and option settings updated inline with these changes.
Reports
– Added the ability to generate an Extended Components Report (.rpt) as a Quick Report only and display it in the Text Report Viewer.
– Microsoft Word Input and Output reports are certified for commercial use.
Analysis
– Slip/ultimate force/gap Supports can now be specified to simulate bi-linear stiffness.
– Rotation Support gaps can now be specified in the clockwise/anti-clockwise direction.
– The pendulum effect can now be applied to supports, including the ability to specify the Rod length and angulation. The pendulum effect is the behavior of an analytical element which is fixed for translations at one end but free for rotations (pivot point), and the other end is free to translate.
– The number of supported Rotating Equipment (Turbine, Compressor, Pump, User-Defined) Nozzle points has been increased from 4 to 10.
General
– AutoPIPE v12.7 models can now be saved back as v12.6 models.
Interoperability
– AutoPIPE v12.7 is compatible with ProjectWise 365.
– The PCF Translator now supports custom mapping of PCF attributes to AutoPIPE properties.
Notes
– In the v12.7 release, some features related to the DGN file format including DGN export, iModel export, and iTwin Design Review are temporarily unavailable. This functionality will be made available in a future release. Please contact Bentley Technical Support if you have any questions.
