FDTD 7.5 provides a simple way to run multiple simulations at the same time. For example, suppose you have 30 simulations from an optimization or parameter sweep task. In the past, each of the 30 simulations would run consecutively on the local computer. (It was also possible for the user to manually distribute the jobs in some othermanner.) With FDTD 7.5, the jobs can be automatically sent to several computers in yourlocal network. If there are three computers in the network, FDTD can run three concurrentsimulations (one on each computer), reducing the time to complete the sweep by a factorof 3.
